I know that some people just can't let it go.
It depends partly upon the time frame involved.
A healthy, fully charged wet-cell battery will be JUST FINE stored in the cold for a couple of months IF it is disconnected. Really it will.
A healthy, fully charged AGM will be JUST FINE stored in the cold for 4 to 5 months IF it is disconnected. Really it will.
And yes I know that some people will feel obligated to tell me that is wrong too. That does not MAKE it wrong.
