Battery strap corroding

Thanks for reporting back :B Sometimes we never hear back from OP and left scratching our heads.

Just to report on what the dealer found: a bad battery. He has to order a replacement strap so the new battery and strap are on hold for a week or so. I was also having a problem with a bad 120V outlet. No plugs will stay in it. He had to order that too. I got the heads up on that here on the forum, the problem has been there from day 1 but it hadn't occurred to me to complain to the dealer about it. Nice painless dealer visit.

Yeah I guess so, heh. I didn't even think of that. I need to call the dealer anyway because of the bum 120V outlet so I guess I'll add this on.

It's a sign that the battery needs replacing.

Out gassing of the battery do to overcharging or a bad battery. Have the charging system and battery checked and NOT AT AUTO ZONE!!! Go to a local shop that rebuilds alt. and have them check it or a good repair shop.

sounds like the battery is leaking gas or some kind of variety.....
