In a pinch a foam rubber pad would work too, though a bad long-range plan. When crawling on steep roofs I use a 3 inch thick foam pad, like what would come out of a sofa cushion, and the grip is incredible, should be same for TC.
OP’s bed liner is spray-in, putting a bed mat on top of a spray-in liner shouldn’t be a problem.
