Beeping sound

Our smoke detector did that very thing.

Our HTT beeped at us for several months one winter. Sure enough, the smoke detector was it. We had forgotten to remove the battery prior to winterizing, and once the slideout was in, we couldn't access the smoke detector. It was pretty funny, especially once we figured it out.

It is the ceiling mounted smoke detector... it runs on 9v alkaline battery only.

When my trailer is unplugged from shore power (which is very, very seldom), and the house battery gets depleted, the power converter chirps. As the battery gets lower and lower, it chirps more and more. The fastest I've heard it chirp is about once ever 15 seconds.

When I finally figured out it was the converter chirping, I couldn't figure why? I explored the trailer, inside and out, just to find out I had unplugged the camper from the power source when I mowed the grass (at home) to pull the cord out of the way. After mowing, I strung the cord back, BUT didn't plug it back in the wall (This was before I had my 30 amp connection installed). After a couple weeks sitting, the battery ran down low enough to cause the converter module to begin chirping. DUH! I plugged the camper back in and .... really .... it's never chirped again!

When ours did that under the exact same circumstances, it definitely was the CO battery alert. It continued for days and days. The storage lot called us to let us know. But since we were out of town at the time, it was over a week later that we checked. The beep sounded like it was coming from all over, but we finally zeroed it in to the sensor in the bedroom. A change of battery and all was quiet again.

There may be a battery backup in the CO detector that is running low.
