Besides the T@B, what other small light weight trailer?

I want something I can tow with my 2001 Cadillac DHS. I was looking at the T@B's, but cripes those things are pricey! Any other idea's?
Looking to keep the trailer at 1500lbs. or less.

I am trying to stay away from a pop-up.

( I just sold my Truck/trailer outfit ).

  • 1500 pounds will be a difficult weight target. many of the suggestions you are getting exceed that.

I've been doing a lot window shopping for lightweights, 2000 pound target, what there is, is limited. I've been finding A-frame folders at 1600-2200 pounds, stripped to the bone pop-ups 1300-1600 (most popular models are more like 2200-3000), and small molded trailers like the 13-foot Scamp at 1200-1600 empty with basic equipment. At these weights, typically desired options like hot water, refrigerator, A/C are heavy enough to push weight up significantly.

I checked Livin Lite, but only their Quicksilver tent trailers come in under 1500, as the smallest (11 foot) Camplite models are over 1500 dry.

I the price of a T@b is too high, I think you will find the prices of these other lightweight options even more of a problem. But I think a Scamp, compared to the T@b, you be getting more RV for your money.
  • You also might be able to find a 2013 Lance 1274. They're tiny and light and made really well! They also have a dry bath!!

  • Consider a molded-fiberglass trailer, like the Scamp 13 or Weiscraft's Little Joe or Ponderosa.
  • Look at the Aliners: Aliner . It tows like a PUP, but has no canvas. Our 2012 Classic (around 1850 lb. dry weight) has a couch that slides out to an almost queen bed, a/c, furnace, fridge, microwave, outside shower, 2-20 lb. propane tanks, a dinette that converts to a roomy single+ bed, a stove that can be used inside or outside (quick connect propane hookup inside and outside), a sink, a Fantastic fan, plus another vent, several side windows, and two bubble windows on the roof panels. It can also come with a hot water heater, which we opted not to have (we use a hot pot to heat water for dishes).

Look at the Ranger 10 or Ranger 12 for lighter models.

An Aliner is a good choice for someone who likes to be outside most of the time, and for 1 or 2 people. We use an Easy Up as our awning.
