Pros: Cummins 12V, easy to work on, no DEF, no smog check in California, no sensors, no computer, 5spd manual trans, full floating axle but most importantly the wife agreed if we got a brand new trailer a old truck would be fine.
Cons: it's a old truck so creature comforts aren't like modern ones.
I bought it when we bought our house a few years ago and working in residential framing I knew I'd need a farm truck to haul materials. Also driving 4BTs at work for the better part of the last 15 years I know how reliable they are.
