Truckasaurus is a 2003 F450 chassis cab.
Pro: Big. Nobody cuts it off in traffic. Good luck losing it in a parking lot.
Con: Big. Doesn't fit very well in traffic. Good luck parking it in a parking lot.
Pro: 7.3 liter engine. Rock-solid reliable. No DPF, no DEF, it just goes and goes.
Con: 7.3 liter engine. Not particularly powerful or fuel-efficient. And LOUD. The radio is not strong enough to overcome the engine. I haven't heard anything DW says on the highway for years. Wait... is that a "pro"?
Pro: Handling. With the duals out back, this truck does not care if the wind is blowing when I tow the fifth wheel. It stays firmly planted on the ground.
Con: Handling. With the duals out back, this truck does not want to move if it's snowy or muddy or sandy. Also, it has the turning radius of an aircraft carrier. I've had to make three point k-turns in drive-thrus.
Pro: Paid For. 'Nuff said.
Con: Paid For. ...over and over again. Here a part, there a part, everywhere a part part. I have to pull the engine out to replace a leaky oil pan. One of my doors suddenly decided it no longer wants to open.
