1680 pounds? After passengers, dogs, and a full tank of fuel that's less than 1000 pounds. Bigfoot/NL full size campers will be 3x that or more.
I had a bigfoot on a 3/4 ton Dodge a few years ago. I was over on GVWR but under on tires and axles. It did ok. I believe the cargo rating was close to 3,000 pounds. We ordered the camper stripped of pretty much every option. No genset, air-conditioning, electric jacks, tv etc to keep the weight down.
I believe these campers will overload the rear axle, rims and tires of this 1/2 ton truck.
