*Sigh*... Yet another trip report I've yet to post, but I'd recommend Big Basin Redwoods State Park!!! out of Santa Cruz. Stay in the Huckleberry Loop Sites 42-75. Best site for privacy, space and beauty, and along the creek is #62H. I've stayed there 3 times and walked every space and the entire park practically! I never get tired of it. Beautiful! There are hiking trails to waterfalls, the trail to the ocean, named "Skyline to the Sea" (a full day hike with tent camping possible at the end) camp store and educational center at the entrance to the park (a hike!) Nothing quite as majestic as Redwoods! In any event, DO GO to the Redwoods, if even only for the day!
