Best half ton truck to own out of warranty
Just wondering, which would you choose? I've had 5.4's and a 6.8. Both were great reliable motors. Here are my basic requirements... Basic towing up to around 6000 lbs. Mostly just a dail...

Its the cam phasers that go bad and make the ticking noise on these engines. Some make the noise, some don't. If your considering a 5.4 do yourself a favor and google 5.4 cam phaser problems and read up what you can about it. Its a very expensive problem to fix if you get stuck with one.
