Best Mud Flaps?

I don't find that to be a very accurate marketing statement. I looked at them on Friday. The appear to be almost identical to the material used by ProFlaps.

They are stiff enough that they really can't flex enough to roll up over a tire. If they were to do that, with as stiff as they are, some body damage would happen when the tire catches the edge of it and rips it off the fender sheetmetal I reckon.

Folks will appreciate your new flaps WITHOUT weights. I have Duraflaps with weights and see the folks behind me blinding themselves with their own headlights as they reflect off the flaps (looks like blinking lights in the rear view mirror).

Ultimate flap seems to be affordable & they say that their flaps are sorta flexible & yet stiff enough that them rolling up over the tire is not an issue & the weight is not needed.

& people mostly buy those weighted ones for the looks.

$75.00 free shipping with no weights & $119.00 for the weighted ones. $44.00 difference.

My truck is no show queen & think the weights would be nice but I'd prefer to save the money for other things.

Like camping trips.

Here's what I recall about mounting flaps after I remounted (relocated) a set of flaps on one of my trucks today.

Once you have the vertical and horizontal position determined, and are ready to start drilling, drill the top hole first. Secure the top with the mounting hardware, then make final adjustments for "level". The top screw becomes a pivot point. Once i had the top screw installed, I used a large grip clamp to hold the flap in position while I made final adjustments.
