Best receiver hitch ?

Just installed the B&W. It was easily twice as heavy as the stock one. I found no issues with the stock one but I feel better about it now that it's on there.

I went with the Draw-Tite Titan rated 2000/18,000

I replaced the factory GM hitch on my 05 with a Curt. I am a big fan of their products. Well made, nice powder coating, and Made in the USA.... It was an 1,800/18,000 hitch and took about 30 minutes to install.

Looks like I'll go with the B&W. 1600/16000 should be plenty for my trailer, plus it's 400lbs more than the OE one that has the so called issues.

I have several B&W products and have been blown away by there quality and customer support. I would buy their receiver based only on my experience with their other stuff.

As long as the 1600/16000 lb rating would work I would go with B&W.

I'm looking at replacing my hitch right now also, lots to look at for sure. I like the Torklift, but not so much the price...

Yep, I was asking about receiver hitches not 5th wheels. What was throwing me off was looking at class V's on etrailer's website, the weights were all over the place depending on manufacture. Some had higher tongue weights some had higher towing weights but all were class V's.

I bought the B&W Patriot 16k hitch, and I'm very impressed with the fit and finish. I also like the Curt Q series.

There are many hitches on the retail market that'll do the job. But some get pretty expensive. I'd rather not have one of the Pin hitches, however, due to noise and they don't close and hook up as well.
