Just interesting....I know it's not "really" a truck, but Honda Ridgeline only sold 77 trucks total...wow.
Pretty sure the Ridgeline was discontinued after the 2014 model so I'm not sure why it's in the list. Anyway, I never ever considered it a truck at all and thought it was a joke that it won MT's "Truck of the Year" back when it came out. I always assumed that Honda paid for that award.
Yep, discontinued mid '14. Rumor is they will be back with a crew cab version. - rottidawgExplorer

And, if there is such a difference in sales why bother making the GMC at all?
So the Buick and Cadillac dealerships can sell trucks and the full size SUVs. Most probably sell more of them than they do their cars? - Bamaman11ExplorerFord will soon get the Kansas City factory up and running with the new aluminum F150's. The Dearborn plant was the first to start production in December.
Then, they'll kick some rear end in the retail market.
With the maximum towing package, no other 1/2 ton is in the class with the new model F150--almost 3/4 ton capabilities.
Next up for 2017--aluminizing the F250-F350-F450 models. - hone_eagleExplorer

I wonder if the year over year drop for Ford is folks taking a wait-and-see attitude on the aluminum F-150? I'm intrigued by the increased payload and tow rating gained by the reduced weight. I'm not due a truck so I don't have to be a guinea pig. If it sells, maybe they'll go to that in F-250. I've seen rumors of that for 2017.
The year over year drop was predicted by Ford itself ,the shut down of the production plants in sequence would be the cause ,and it would last a year until both are up to speed and most important dealers are fully re suppled with all variants and colors.
TheSuper duties and expedition are next to be aluminized ,all been previously discussed.

This isn't a knock on the GMC but why are sales are so far behind it's Chev twin? And, if there is such a difference in sales why bother making the GMC at all? I don't follow what GM is doing (local dealership is atrocious) can anyone in the know shed some light?

I love this thread every time it pops up.
I've been away from the Tow Vehicle forum for 9 years and it's still the same.
* 0-60 times matter
* quarter mile times with 20,000 lbs matters
* sales numbers matter
Safely pulling a trailer down the interstate in overdrive doesn't matter unless you bought your truck using the above criteria. - Ron3rdExplorer IIII love this thread every time it pops up.
