Best Xmas gift for a new "trailerer"

The generator. It will work at night and when it is raining.

For a Christmas present, the generator is much simpler.
A solar charging system is much more complicated and takes a lot of research and planning.

A quiet generator that will doo all you ask of it. Don't skimp on quality. Merry CHRISTmas

If you were full timers, I'd recommend solar, otherwise a generator. The size depends on how your going to use it. Would you be running your air conditioning unit or not ? The kind is going to be the most contested of your posting amongst responders.

Depends on what you want to do.
Just recharge batteries?
Run the Microwave and TV?
Run the air conditioner?
How old/physically fit are you? The bigger the generator, the heavier it is.

I would suggest an inverter generator with a minimum 2000. Watts.
You will need 3000 watts plus to run the A/C. This will be heavy if you get it all in one generator. You can also pair up a couple 2000 watters to run your A/C, and therefore they are easier to load and unload.
You will not get a definitive answer on brand or size on this forum. We have been discussing, arguing, and disagreeing on that topic for years!

Shop around, as I've seen it as low as $649, but this close to Christmas, I wouldn't expect to find it for that right now.

X2...Good value. Enough power to run your trailer. The company has a good reputation for service. It is very reasonably quiet.
