BF Goodrich ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2

I can reply to part of your question. I have the K02s on my Jeep and I like them in the winter. A Wrangler can be squirrely in the winter due the short wheel base which can also make it fun when you want to mess around. If you hit the gas on a sharp corner, you can break them loose when in two wheel drive. If you behave yourself, they're fine.

On my 3/4T long bed CC diesel truck I run the Cooper Discoverer M&S LT265/70R17s during the winter. In the summer I run the Pirelli tires that came on it. They handle very well on dry pavement, but don't let them catch sight of mud or snow. When they wear out, I'll run the Coopers year round.

have the KO's I thought they were a little on the
soft side and wore quickly so when I switched
I went with the Toyo M-55's and I will be sticking
with them from now on very nice tire :)

1. I'd be tempted to run those front tires on the outside rears until the tread wore down. By having them on the outside, you would be able to keep a visual watch on their wear as the rest of the tire "catches up".

2. I'm a firm believer in getting the front end aligned while the truck is loaded in its most often used state. Although suspension designs are good at keeping geometry under different loads, I still feel the difference in weight is what caused your uneven wear. If you use the truck exclusively with the TC, take it to a shop with the TC loaded and have them check specifications.

I wholeheartedly agree that it I should have the truck aligned with the camper on it. I am trying to find a big rig shop that can do that for me.

I'm running the BF Goodrich ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 on my F250 (not dually). I have about 18,000 on them and they are wearing out faster than I would like, but I should still get 40-45k I hope out of them. I only have about 4,000 towing on them. I'm hoping the worse of the wear was right off the bat, but I doubt it. Otherwise I really like them, they were pretty quite from day one. A tad squirmy at first, but that seemed to stop within a month or two.

I love the BFG AT KOs, but they are soft (great sticky for snow and ice) and great off road. But they do wear fast and I don't believe the rubber used is the best choice for the haul duties of a duelly. I think there may be better choices.

I found a shop in Anaheim, CA called Fleet Services, Inc. I spoke with Dave who said that indeed the weight should be on the truck fully loaded, that is the best way to align it. He does all kinds of RV's and commercial trucks.

He also wanted me to keep the old tires on it so he can see the current wear pattern and that the longer the truck camper overhang, the lighter the front end gets making it hard if not impossible to totally correct the alignment due to the weight distribution.

Estimated cost $195, I will get it done next week and report back.

Look at the Nitto Terra Grappler G-2 or the Toyo A/T 11, either one a great pick!

I have them. I'm near the end of their life, and am looking at either 19.5's or, dare I say it, a 2017 F450 that comes with 19.5's.

I haul a VERY heavy TC + a 10k Wells Cargo trailer. only ever had one incident where lack of traction made me pucker, but I was able to still control it and get through. Coming down a steep, icy campground driveway here in Leavenworth WA. I was able to work the trailer brakes and keep it straight. Overall, these have been good tires. One did have a side-wall bubble bulge develop, and was replaced under warranty no questions asked at Discount Tire.

Overall, I would recommend them. I almost exclusively boondock, these have had good mud/snow/sand traction, I have never gotten stuck, empty or loaded. Ever.

I've been running the BFG A/T KO's for years on all my trucks. I like them a lot, and the ride and performance makes it worth the shorter tread life IMO.

I bought a 2015 -2500HD and can't wait until the OEM tires wear out, and will probably just upgrade and sell OEM for whatever I can get. And go with the BFG again.

We now live in Florida, but lived in the NE snow country for years, and do a lot of back-country camping all over the USA. The BFG are very good on highway, and dirt, gravel, mud, snow, rain, a functional all around tire. Sometimes, we pay for that with less tread miles - to us, it's worth it.

We generally get about 40K plus miles on a set.
