Nice write-up on the comparison of the two TVs. As you may know the new F150 truck also has electronics that does many things to counter the additional load on the truck. One being the engine and tranny. It adjust shift points and turbo pressure as it learns your driving habits. It also has individual wheel braking to control sway. The brake controller is also tied into the brains of the truck so it will add or subtract trailer braking (in addition to your settings)under certain conditions (truck tire slippage). The advantage to these new modern trucks are much more than just the mechanical numbers they can haul.
We have been towing with this combo for just two seasons now and every time we go out, I am more and more impressed with it. Like you we do not see ourselves moving up or changing the combo anytime in the foreseeable future.
