After my meticulously maintained and babied 2004 F250 6.0L died from the dreaded cascade failure, and I was told by actual Ford techs that I should have "upgraded this and that, "bullet proof it "and "the other stuff" to improve reliability. HUH? You can't do that here!
California's South Coast Air Quality Management District and the Highway Patrol frowns upon modifications to your Vehicles here in California. A couple of hundred dollars fine for ANY engine mods! Including LAWN MOWERS! And the fines are $50.00 for burning trash in your back yard.
So after owning dozens of Ford products in the past AND being a FORMER loyal Ford Guy with 12 Fords in 25 years...I am now officially vaccinated with the "NOMOREFORDS4ME" inoculation.
The 6 new cars myself and my family have purchased after selling off all the Fords are all brand new Made in USA and Made in Korea KIA's!
Great vehicles and that 100,000 mile warranty is nice too!
Hey...I know my login name is still "Fordsooperdooty", but just wait!
I'm sure Korea thanks you! :E
Hey Troy
This member was the biggest, I mean biggest Ford guy on this forum. He made Ricatic look really small and frankly I thought he was either a Ford salesperson like yourself, or a RV salesperson.
I was shocked when his dear 6.0 when down, oh wait his family owned two of em..... Hopefully his son got rid of the other POS before it blew like they all will in due time.
OBTW he won't rattle sabers with you, he moves on and will tell his story much like Ric does.
But KIA Clint, really????? fordsooperdooty wrote:

It probably would have been a better idea to use a VP44 equipped 53 block backed up by a 48RE transmission! The mirrors look more like they are trying to copy the GM Kodiak trucks more than the moose ears.
LOL
With an engine mounted Carter lift pump! Maybe the 47RH from the 12V's.
Chris
Yeah and don't worry about adjusting the bands in the 47 Torque flight since you'll be smoking those tranny's left and right.

Yup, Ram smokes the tranny's, GM Smokes the whole truck..:B - larry_barnhartExplorerwhere do you think the ford diesels are made?
chevman - TerryallanExplorer IIFact is. Ford is bringing jobs back to the US. The Cummins powered trucks were built in Mexico. This will save about 1600 US jobs.
- 720DeereExplorerActually not that long ago, the Allison failure rate was pretty high in modified trucks. I haven't paid much attention, but the newer models seem to hold up fairly well. The Allison is a real good transmission, but it isn't the holy grail that everybody wants to make it out to be.

Hey, at least it keeps the service work in their own bays! Does the cab lift off easily? Chris
Typical Dodge boy fanfare... BTW the Ford service bays also repairs the Cummins powered trucks as well. :W
