Your truck rear axle weight might be in the 2,500 pound empty range, while a F-350 gas truck might only be say 400 pounds heavier, so both will tend to get pushed around a bit on two lane roads by the 18 wheelers going 70 in the other direction!

Towing my 32' trailer on the interstates over the last few weeks with a F350 with 11000 lb gvwr still had the same push/pull characteristics.

I went from an '07 F150 CC 4x4 6.5' bed to the F350 with the trailer in my sig which unloaded is 5600lbs and then 7000lbs loaded at approx. 25' in length and it made a HUGE difference! The trailer might move some when a heavy, long truck blows by but the F350 stays planted pulling the trailer right back into position without ANY drama. No thanks, I'll take that the extra 2000lbs and added wheel base as it does wonders for on road feel, confidence and safety.
The F150 was a great truck but the only thing it shares in common with the F350 is the badge on the front of the grill.
