I had a 1996 (or was it 98?) Bigfoot 9.6. The placard said 2200 lbs and it weighed 2800 lbs wet without much gear in it. I now have a 2008 10.4E, the placard says 2900, the documentation with it says 3200 with installed options and it actually weighs 3500 wet with all the gear I take (about 200 lbs max).
The 10.4E has a separate shower stall and rear dinette. The camper feels heavier than the 9.6 on the truck, but better balanced. I have not figured out why. (I removed the 120 lbs roof air and moved 150 lbs of batteries from back to front, which must have helped). This is mounted on my 1999 Ford F350 dually with camper package with some common suspension mods. We could not be happier with the upgrade to the 10.4E.
My Ford is 11,000 GVWR and I am at 11,230 before I climb in, but within the axle ratings both ends.
