The dog can't share the back seat with the kids? 60# isn't that big. I guess, if the dog needs to travel in a kennel / crate, that takes up a lot more room?
With the front passenger seat forward a bit, the dog can lay on the floor by the kids feet?
Look at the mega-cab type trucks, in a 3/4 or 1 ton so you maintain ability to tow a heavy trailer?
