Although I don't know why they couldn't use the trailer top for lots of solar to extend the range. Same with a RV and a pickup, using the solar for RV use and to extend the range. A lot of people on the forum say they don't drive over 200 miles a day when on a trip.
While I will probably never own one I like keeping up with technology.
I a word(s): energy density, solar does not provide enough energy per square ft to make that even remotely possible. Also Semi's are closer to our HD trucks than these light p/u trucks in the article are.
