That's the way it should be. But with the questionable build quality in RV industry today, I don't trust that there may not be a low spot in the flush line before it gets to the black tank. When winterizing I use compressed air to clear the line.......just incase.
Yes, you need to blow out the BTF line when winterizing!! Many have found out out the hard way, that they should have.
