Blasted Lady Bugs

It's been about 4 weeks since our last trip and what with one thing and another we decided this season was done and we'd winterize. We hadn't been in Rocky since we got back other than to run the vacuum. Opened up today and the blasted Lady Bugs have returned. They love the large rear window which gets a lot of sun. DH and I captured a bunch and escorted them out the door, but I even found some in the vents between the screen and the cover and I swear they weren't there last trip. I had planned to ask our bug guy to spray the trailer anyway when he comes this month, but any suggestions on getting them gone? Anyone ever use foggers for this?? I may have to wait for the bug guy, but those little critters multiply like crazy.

    I have never found any spray that has any effect on them. We just vacuum the ones we can find. Check under the edge of the slide carpet. Found a pile of them in there one year. Hundreds all piled up keeping each other warm.

    DON'T KILL THEM! The farmers and folks who raise fruits, vegetables , flowers and plants in general will hate you! The little bright colored shiny shelled bugs eat Aphids, mealybugs, mites, scale insects, and thrips. Each iny orange lady bug eats an average of 300 aphids every day!

    If you darken the interior of your RV, and leave a door or window open, they will seek out the sun light..head that way and leave your RV. That's why they gather at windows looking to escape! Help them out.

    AND did you know that if you get enough ladybugs together, they sell at farm supply stores for around $17.00 for a bag of 1500 of them! $45.00 for a quart!

    are you talking the red lady bugs or the orange. I think the orange ones are not beneficial like the red ones but maybe that is just an urban legend.

    We've had the orange ones for the past dozen years and they are not beneficial. They bite and are really a pest in the fall.

    You probably mean the orange ones which are not really Lady Bugs. Get rid of as many as you can, one sex bites. I think it is the female but am not sure.
    If you see a Lady Bug next to a Japanese Bettle you can see they are not the same colar.
    We have never had more than a few at a time in our TT but one is too many if it bites.

    When we plant corn and soybeans on the roof, I'll encourage them.

    Until then, I prefer to eliminate them.

    A few years ago, we had a bad infestation. We bug bombed on a warm day and there were hundreds on the ground outside the RV a couple hours later.

    LOL...I found out what stink bugs are this year moving to Maryland! They are awful.

    Pardon me for the silly question, but before we plant The corn and soybeans on our roofs, are we supposed to remove the solar panels?
