TC'er from Stanley and been here 37 years year round. If I was you I'd visit Stanley by Memorial Day or later. All Campgrounds are open by Memorial Day and right now I have 12 inches of the white stuff in my yard and was at Redfish yesterday and there is still well over 2 feet of snow there.
