Brake dust......ugh!
What do you all do to limit the amount of brake dust on rims? Washed mine before last trip and by the time we were to the campground, rims were all yucky again. Have stock pads/rotors and just over 31...

People have to understand that just because a brake pad leaves dust on wheels does not make them cheap or substandard.
Brake pads have many, many, many parameters to fulfill. There is not one "best" material or pad to be had. In drag racing we will put one pad on that is just made for drag racing. For circle track racing we will use something entirely different. But for street use the manufactures have to hit a happy medium for all.
They all have their pluses and minuses. They may be great in one area but poor in others. The best pad for street use is a well balanced pad. IOW's one that does everything good but usually nothing great.
