I replaced the front pads and rotors on my 2011 F150 with OEM stuff, using their best pads. I wasn't impressed, they are pulsating now after only 12000 miles. From past experience, I know not to use Brand X junk from an auto parts store. Next time I'm going the route "is it friday yet?" said above, using name-brand Wagner parts.
If you do this yourself, make sure you put the pads on correctly. There are right and left pads. It's an easy job, once you get the wheel off. That was the worst part, had to use a sledge hammer on the inside of the tires to get the wheel to break free.
