While you can get Max Payload Package on Lariet trim if you check the box for 3.73 rear axle but as soon as you check most any other option boxes the Payload Package is not available. As I recall the same is true for the other trim levels as well and has been since the truck went aluminum. I really wanted max payload package but I also wanted some other nice features. I was torn over which way to go and finally ended up with the other features. If they ever offer it all on one truck I may have to upgrade.
