I have not looked to see if the Onan is inserted though the door or underneath. My thought is you do not run the generator for extended periods and may be fine with additional batteries and an inverter for those electric moments.
Upgrading your vehicle charge line and adding solar would help keep the battery levels up.
I'm currently looking at Class 5 trucks to haul my TC partially so I can install battery banks inside storage boxes attached to he flatbed. When we need to microwave something or make coffee, the inverter would do the work off the batteries instead of the generator. Air conditioning or long use of AC would still be generator powered for us.
