I have the same supports on my Jayco. No issues with bowing out.
Seems to me like the ends of the poles may be causing it. Do both ends look the same? Are they the original poles? Maybe if someone replaced the poles and squished the ends flat, the round portion of the pole may still be putting pressure on the inside of that support receptical.
I'm not the most cautious guy on these boards, but I wouldn't sleep on that until it was fixed.
