Yes the ends look the same; although the poles for the front are not the same length as the back which is understandable as the front bunk end is higher off the floor than back.

Not sure if the poles are original, they seem to look as original equipment. They do not look like homemade or from a different camper. With you mentioning that the round portion of the pole may still be putting pressure on the inside of that support receptacle. It seems that you maybe onto something. I will look closer and see if the flat ends are fully in the bracket and if at the right angle. If not I may flatten the pole more and make sure it fits fully inside the bracket.
