:) Hi, I was looking for a new F-150 to replace my Navigator as a tow vehicle. Note: Navigator payload is 1600 lbs. and it's tow rating is 8,900 lbs. At a local Ford dealer I drove through their lot and didn't see any F-150's with towing mirrors; That was a bad sign to me. I went into their show room, took a few pictures of a nice restored Ford 9-N tractor, and got a bag of free popcorn. Salesman asked me if I was interested in buying a new vehicle or was I just there to take pictures of the tractor and eat the free popcorn. I told him that I was looking for an F-150 to tow my trailer, but I didn't see any with towing mirrors so they didn't have what I needed / wanted in stock. Salesman asked me what my trailer weighed and I told him it was 6,300 lbs. His response was that there wasn't an F-150 on the lot that couldn't tow 7,200 lbs. And my response to him was that there is no reason for me to buy a new truck that has a lower payload and tow rating than my Lincoln.
I bought my truck at a different dealer.
I bought my truck at a different dealer.
