Went to the Chevy dealership .. as a way to find out if the salesman knew anything,asked re tow rating on this low-end 5.3 v8 half ton.. the answer, per this guy? 'About ten to eleven tons'

Some of the 1/2 tons have a "tow rating" of 10-11k lbs...he may have simply misspoke and meant 10-11 1000lbs rather than 10-11 tons.
Even if he confused ton with thousand, I highly doubt all of their 1/2 trucks could tow 10k lbs.
