Went to the Chevy dealership .. as a way to find out if the salesman knew anything,asked re tow rating on this low-end 5.3 v8 half ton.. the answer, per this guy? 'About ten to eleven tons'

Hey fwiw, knock on wood, I’ve had good luck with Tacoma Dodge parts and service dept. Have bought a couple significant parts there over the last few years and the parts guy was always knowledgeable and didn’t over charge me.
And just got some warranty work done there on the new car and they were very good to my wife and actually did it right.
At the same time, both Dodge dealers in Auburn were a **** show when my wife tried to get the car in there first.
