Sad to say that your experience is mostly normal these days. A lot of these sales guys just don’t know or have zero experience in Rv and trailer towing. I had a guy years ago tell me that the then new Titan would outhaul my 3/4 Chevy because the titan was better and was a 3/4 ton. He said this and I asked him how? He said well look at the mirrors the truck has, those are the big tow package mirrors.... omg.... all these guys want to do is separate you from your pocket book..... any lie is good for them......btw I did explain basic towing to the salesman back then... deer in headlights look without any comprehension on his part...

Just like when I was at the Ram dealer. I asked if there has been any recalls on the ram trucks, he said just a couple.... What a bunch of bs, they all lie!

And you expected different? Salesperson come and go continuously. Don't meet their sales quota there out of here. Next month the person might work at Lowe's. It's your responsibility to do due diligence whether your purchasing a new truck or RV.
