I am not getting into the fray over whether it is a good idea or not, because I have NO CLUE on Oregon weather or costs of living. I currently have a Jayco TT that most would think is too small for living full time. I don't live in it, but could if I needed to. I love my Jayco, but for you, the Northwoods lines are probably a good suggestion. I have not seen one, but everything I have seen indicates that they are nicely insulated and have good amenities for full time living. Another that no one has mentioned is the Open Range trailers. Lots of full-timers live in Open Range 5vers, but they also make TT's. There TT's would be a first choice for me to full time in, if I chose to stay in TT as I go fulltime in a few years.
Look carefully at things to see how the floor plan works for you. Little things will make the difference. Does it have a nightstand that you can put a book and glasses on, if you read in bed? Does it have a comfortable sofa/chair for just relaxing in (or can you change out easily)? Does it have washer/dryer if that is important to you (me, I had laundromats and avoid at all costs, so I will have one)? Things like bedspreads, and blah beige walls can be changed easily. (I changed bedspread, hung lots of photos to cover beige walls, added a slip cover over sofa, and put lots of rugs around floor to make mine more personalized and less institutional.)
