Who cares how much the OP makes that isn't the issue. The OP moves job locations often, maybe he is a IT contractor, who knows, who cares. The OP says he needs to move. You know how many people now in the upper salary bands get to work virtual and they live in their TT's and see the country or move locations. To many to count.
Many here are suggesting a House? Crazy, the OP says he moves a lot for the job, setting up utilities, moving furniture all the stuff that goes into moving. So lot rent is same as renting, that washes out with house taxes, utility set-up and closing, deposits, moving expenses, ugh. $300 lot rent is nothing. Also the TT is a tax write off where a rented home of any kind isn't.
To the OP, not sure I would get a small TT get the biggest your TV can haul and enjoy the scenery and mobility.
Maybe I missed it but I didn't see anywhere where the OP said he was moving due to work. Just that he had issues with rental management and something about air quality.
My wife can actually work off-site which is a real bonus that we'll employ once we save up enough money. For now I need to be tied to the city until we can pay off numerous debts and leave town (which is in our timeline, hence the mobile). Sorry if there was any confusion there.
Additionally, we've spent enough time in hotels across the nation (Hilton - Platinum, Diamond - Holiday Inn, etc.) that we've decided to never stay in one again if we can.
By the way, eichacsj if you ever go to Flagstaff, go to Salsa Brava and get the Sopapilla. It's to die for.
Happy Camper - if I had that kind of money I'd be looking to buy a house. Thanks though. :)
Again, thanks a bunch to you all for your good luck, advice and suggestions. They haven't gone unnoticed. This has all been very educational.
