- donn0128Explorer IIAs with any used RV condition and no leaks are far more important than how it was originally built. Salem I believe is a low line, so the gingerbread is probxbly not there.

Ditto !!!
At this point, it doesn't matter who built it. You need to find out (from the seller) how it has been maintained and stored.
Caulking cracks (leaks)?
Wheel bearings (greased / repacked)? Packing may be due.
Tires (age / what they've been parked on)? If they are original, they are probably due for replacement.
Inspect it closely, top to bottom. - mtofell1ExplorerMy 2013 Salem was a decent trailer. I had a few things come up but nothing major. RVs at any price point are a roll of the dice. Ditto what the others said about seeing how well the current owner has taken care of it.
- ronansheaExplorerThanks all, the walkthru lookin at it went very well, we will more than likely pick it up this week . Dw loves it, we have a permanent place for it at our lakelot.
