Well, there is a circuit board in most modern TT AC's. And there is one in the fridge, one in the power converter, and one in the factory radio. I do wonder if those cheaper, (plug into the pedestal) like the one I have, whole camper surge protectors are that good. If you get a better one, that of course cost a lot of money, you are getting better protection. I guess it depends on how much your camper cost, the cost of repairs, and how much risk it's worth to you. In my area I've never heard of anybody's surge protector tripping even in there house. I happen to live in a good state that has a good electric grid in place. I know not everywhere is that way.
