Buying New sight unseen

I will say this. I have never heard any major complaints from Arctic Fox owners. My only complaint is I spilled a quart of Olive Oil and have never been able to clean it all up yet. as it went under the slider carpet. I did learn to velcro the pantry closed. It's heavy but rides well, tows like all the rest of the sleds out there. Floors are solid,. How many of you can , weighing 220 lb, jump off your sofa and not go to the asphalt underneath? I can.

We kind of did buy one from seeing it on line.....unit was at CW in Nashville and we had it pulled over to Knoxville CW. Of course we went through it before signing any paper work but took delivery on it in the end. I did as thorough a walk through as I could because it was a unit that sat almost a year on the lot and we got a very good deal on it. Loved the Coleman rear kitchen floor plan. We have since upgraded that unit to a Laredo. Never had an issue of any serious nature with the Coleman in the nearly 4 years we had it.

We put in more than 8000 miles of driving over 15 months visiting at least eight RV shows, four manufacturers, and repeat visits to several dealers before making a final decision on our first RV, which has served us for the past 12 years. At first it was not knowing what we wanted, towards the end it was about exactly which model fit our needs, i.e. the living in it. That involved getting in the RV and trying it out.

We've been in a small RV club since 2005, and while most of the members have something they've used and liked for a long time, others keep buying every 2-5 years because what they bought didn't work as well for them as they thought it would.

While I like Artic Fox, and have no reservations about quality and construction methods, I would not buy any particular model without seeing that model and trying it out. That's not the same as needing to see the particular RV, as I have no problem with ordering from the factory based on having seen another example.

If you buy another RV without actually having seen one just like it, you might find yourself soon looking for something else that works better for you.

I was just in a 32A..The pictures on the net are deceiving.It is not as big as it looks to me.I had to turn semi sideways to go down the hall with my heavy jacket on.The bathroom is big but the bedroom seemed small and the dinette did not have much room up against the couch.

Definitely look before buying.

I don't buy anything I can't put my hands on, pictures can be deceiving.

Depends on whether you can live with the consequences or not.

OK, that $57k is a base price. By the time you option it out it will climb up a bit and then discount it ??% to get back down to that base price.
Plan to go back to the dealer you purchased from , develop a good relationship. Your repair down time will benefit and things should get done in a timely fashion.

How is that dealer going to take care of what needs to be taken care of that the Mfg. failed to do. Will the dealer be there for after the check is cashed.

A new 32A is not an inexpensive trailer. msrp's of $75k ?
If the AF 32A is not available to view somewhere, then if possible I would find the same floorplan in another brand, just to feel how the "floorplan feels" to you. Sometimes what you see in pics doesn't feel right once you actually spend some time in it.
Once i did that, then i would view any AF to see the fit and finish, keeping in mind, the fit and finish is limited to what you see. If you had the opportunity to take one apart, you might see a different 'fit and finish' and that's one place a reputable dealer can prevail and be an asset to you.

It's really a **** shoot anywhere you go you just never know, The base price is $57K, I just got the build sheet. I haven't found a floor plan like this. I plan on going up and looking at a couple different Floor plans this week just I get an idea of fit and finish

That's funny. 5 years ago, we bought our Sabre in a very similar fashion. We had been looking at campers and had a spreadsheet of 60 models. None of them were quite right.

My wife found a Sabre floorplan online and I started swapping emails with a sales manager at the factory. He sent me pre-production photos of the floorplan we were after. I suggested some changes (that they took!).

We walked through a couple of Sabres at a local dealer.

I ultimately ordered one through the 2nd closest dealer. Unfortunately the local dealer that we walked through pulled some stupid pricing stunts in our emails.

Placed a factory order via email. Deposit was sent via check.

5 years later and now fulltiming, the rig has treated us quite well.

So yep- I'd buy sight-unseen. I've done it. :D

BUT- my advice, walk through ones from the same manufacturer. Get an idea of the specific features of yours from that.
