So what happens in a few years you decide that your trailer is a little too small for your needs, if you purchase a 1500 size truck, ( I Hope Not) your truck is now too small and underpowered to properly tow your new camper. Purchase a 3/4 ton truck, gas or diesel, your choice, and you will be good to go for the next 10 years. It is better to have too much power than not enough.
