Why are you worried about a diesel sitting during the week? Diesels sit in farm equipment and many other applications like backup generators for months at a time. Diesel fuel is also more stable than gasoline with a 5-10 year storage life. If you have to have a truck sit, the diesel is a better choice than the gas truck.
I see it a little different.. I'm not afraid of the diesel truck physically being an issue as it sits without use. I don't want to spend the 10K extra for a truck that hardly gets used. I purchased a gas engine to keep the price down, but diesel would be very nice to have.
