I was in the same boat as you are. We are planning to upgrade to a new Rockwood Signature as soon as I have the nerve to sign the papers. I had a 1/2 ton, 2010 Toyota Tundra and it pulled our existing trailer with no problem at all. The problem was if I put anything in the bed, I was overloaded. I found a used 2011 Chev 2500HD with only 7000 miles on it for a good price. It has the 6.0L gas engine, HD towing package and tows like a dream. I am getting around 13 or 14 mpg local driving, but I drive like I have an egg between my foot and the gas pedal. I get about 9 to 9.5 towing a 30’ Keystone Hideout so far. I think that you will be very happy with the Chevy. Good luck.
