My trailer is a lot lighter than 7000lbs so my half-ton is fine. But if I needed a tow vehicle that would: 1. Pull around 4 tons and 2. sit in the driveway most of the time I would be looking for a late 90's early 2000's 2500 Suburban. Big engine, good trans, easy to work on and cheap to buy.
