Depending on your situation, I would go with a 3/4 ton.If you get into higher elevations, than an oil burner will be the ticket.I do a lot of hauling and my Duramax for me was the way to go.At 7-10k elevation that turbo is not even breaking a sweat and mpg is the same as sealevel.
