Diesel prices are just like gas prices. Almost all of the first 7 month of this year, diesel fuel was by far cheaper than reg gas in our area. Sometimes by 20 to 30 cents a gallon. Right now diesel is 3.85 and gas is 3.65 a gallon. But i can drive 20 miles in any direction, and you will find diesel or gas much higher, or cheaper than where i shop. Diesel might start to increase in price, as the farmers are now starting to harvest their crops. When in full swing, i know we can go through 400 to 500 gallons of diesel every day fueling the tractors, combines, grain haulers and related farm trucks.
I know this is off the intended subject, but fuel costs vary from state to state and times of year.
