- LMMNOCATS_EFIExplorerHmm that’s what I’ve been thinking , going to the bank in the am think I’ll go with the white one the 15 and I’ll post it once it arrives
- minnowExplorerI agree, weird.
- Grit_dogNavigator IIweird, I got a new white Chevy pickup sitting outside. Only black is the mud flaps and rear bumper cover.
LMM, the ‘12 looks nice in the pics. I wouldn’t want a 6 year old truck from WI with an unknown history, due to rust though. I may seem paranoid, but grew up fighting rusty sht on EVERY vehicle. After moving west, my car repair frustrations are much less! Lol.
Just popped u joints and unit bearings off the old Dodge a few months ago. No torch heat required. If that truck had 10 WI winters under its belt, that would have not been the case. You work on your own vehicles, don’t buy a rusty one! - minnowExplorerHave to agree with the above re: GM’s obsession with the color black. Try and find a truck that doesnt have a black cloth or leather interior. One really appreciates that interior color in the south in August.
- travelnmanExplorerTow vehicles priced where they are affordable are getting fewer and fewer. Gas
is heading back up and away so if that is a factor your even more limited. The
wife and I hate black and that seems to be the only color anything comes in anymore black inside and outside. GM seems to have run out of brown paint. Like Henry Ford said you can have any color so long as it is black, seems to be true today. If you hate black good luck finding a vehicle in anything else. Then prices seem to have gone on a tear right after Trump said the economy is blowing the doors wide open. We have a older Suburban which struggles with hills but I liken it to the "little engine that could" at $80,000 to replace it I would have to hit the lottery. We priced out a new RAM with the gas engine really liked it and the new weight limits are just what you need to take it all with you then the sales men went over the build sheet with us. Sort of leaves a knot in your throat. Wife says "your not going to do this are you?" If I had, it meant I had better really love that RV because she would be history. Even the sales person was sort of choking when he presented the bottom line. With all this said, This is what you can do, look for a 2000-2006 Suburban or pickup they were really tough trucks very reliable and didn't rust. If money is not your problem than the choices are unlimited, I would even go for a two hundred thousand dollar motor home its the only way to see America and take it all with you. Good Luck and I would leave your wife at home they can really get choked up after seeing the window sticker.

If the links work take a gander.... - LMMNOCATS_EFIExplorerAfter getting so HD video of both trucks up and down and under all three the 15 with 118 on seems to look the best , the other two showed signs of rust covering the receiver so who knows what the rest of the truck looks like when the 15 is spotless just two years newer with a few more miles and a great maintenance record so I’m leaning towards it ... just have to get over the 10k in price difference ...
- Grit_dogNavigator II^ That's a good price if it's cherry and well maintained. Plus second year of the LML so some bugs worked with def system if you're not deleting.
Heard of Transynd? Supposed to be best fluid since canned beer for the Alli. Back in the day I recall Alli would double the factory warranty for med duty trucks switched to Transynd. Idk what is so great about it, but I never had any Alli issues with our old Dmax. Sold it at 150k though. - LMMNOCATS_EFIExplorerWell budget is around 38k that’s getting it here and back on par with my last one ... so I found a 12 with 113 on it same set up srw duramax lb for 26500 it’s black looks to be
In good shape ..... - LantleyNomad

LMM, you gotta remember most of the posters here have more time on their hands than they know what to do with. Yes I wouldn’t buy a vehicle sight unseen except in rare situation, but I’m betting, neither are you technically unless you’re signing on the line and having it shipped.
I get it man. 60hr work weeks, 2 teens in 3 rep sports, busy wife with serious health issues, and still try to carve out some recreation time......some days I don’t have time to take a sht......which is what I’m doi g now or I would t have time to post. It’s like a coffee break for me! Lol
I'm not too busy to take time out to buy a $30K truck.
More importantly I'm not rich enough to blow $30K on a lemon
