camper bed a bit claustrophobic, anyway to get over it

I guess my question is (and this is an honest question), If you know you have an issue with tight spaces, Why would you buy the most cramped space type of RV on the market? Was it necessity, or need? Was it on a whim? If I had an issue with tight spaces, id be looking more at a 5th wheel, or a class A or C with an open bed room floor plan.
