They finished July 2nd. I spent the holiday weekend ripping boards to start the "Wings" as I call them. I had 16 fire treated 2x12x16s from a project that didn't happen. I bought these from another didn't happen project owner 15 years ago for .20 on the dollar. I cut them to the lengths I needed for floor joists, wall studs, and roof rafters and then ripped them to 2x6. This gave me 64 boards. I also had some more 2x12s left over from other finished projects. Repeat cutting. So now I have all the wood cut and stacked for the left side wing that is bigger than originally planned. Left side is 7 wide ( lets me use full 8 foot rafters for a 3/12 pitch roof) by 42 feet long. It goes past the end of the 35 foot wall by 7 feet. This is actually/legally 2 separate 7 foot wide sheds. The front 23 feet is will have a full size door and hold the out of season motorized equipment. It will be a door on front, closed outside wall, open wall to the inside and butt up against the next "shed" which will be 7x18 and completely enclosed for hay and feed. A door on the back side into the alpaca pen for the wife and a door inside facing the sleds for loading hay. I started this 1st wing yesterday and have the floor mostly framed 16"OC. I have to move the alpaca fence back a bit though this weekend to finish the floor. I will post some more pics then. Progress is making me very happy.
This thing is huge. The structure is great, meets 90 mph wind load and 80# snow load requirements. I have some grading to finish on the back and right side though to move ground water away from it and then will have gutters going to the left rear corner to a barrel to use for watering animals after it rains.
