Camper storage in Florida Keys

I have a 28' travel trailer that I typically pull from South Carolina to Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys for 2 weeks each summer. Next year, I'm considering going there in April for a week as well as my 2 week trip in the summer. I'd like to possibly keep it in storage in the Keys for the 2 months between trips so that I'm only towing it for one round trip instead of two. I'm hoping the storage fee won't be more than the savings in gas of pulling the trailer once instead of twice. I'd like to store it near Bahia Honda in the Keys, but would consider all the way up as far as Homestead as well. I'm trying to get some opinions on doing this and also recommendations on where to store it and a ballpark price on what to expect for a storage fee. Thank-you.

  • Storing should be no problem, however, do check with your trailer insurance company. There might be some restrictions/ notifications changes necessary.
  • We store our 17 foot boat in a storage lot on Big Pine Key. It cost $35 a month. It seems pretty secure and the people that own it are very nice. A lot of Rv's are also stored there.

    It's BLK Storage and Rentals

  • Maybe try the Koa at Marathon or there are boat storage lots would probably rent space at Marathon. Driftwood Storage comes to mind but there are others.
