You find them occasionally on boats. Basically the size of a bread box (does anyone have those anymore or is the reference too dated?).
Make sure the chimney is properly installed, so it doesn't set the place on fire but otherwise fairly simple.
If you just want to play with fire, they will work but given we get a good month out of a 20# propane tank in moderately cold weather (and we have 2 tanks), not a practical solution.
